Cardio Kickboxing

Are you bored with your aerobics class, and are looking for a high-intensity workout that will increase your strength and flexibility while burning fat? Then cardio-kickboxing may be for you. Cardio Kickboxing is high energy, explosive, exciting and motivating. It's the non-contact kickboxing workout that blends elements of boxing, martial arts and traditional aerobics into a 60-minute exercise routine. Our instructor leads the group through specific punches and kicks to the beat of dance-club music. The moves are worked into swiftly executed combinations (example: jab, cross, hook, uppercut, front kick). We will sometimes work on other exercises such as jump rope or other conditioning drills common to kickboxing.

Although it may seem as if every new exercise trend is hailed as "a full-body workout," these classes can come pretty close. If you do the techniques with precision and power, you'll strengthen your upper body and eventually see more muscle definition. In fact, all of the moves, when done correctly, will make your torso into a solid base that lets you do everyday tasks more easily - whether you're hoisting a heavy box into your attic crawl space or shoving open a window that always sticks.

Why Cardio kickboxing?
• Get the results you always wanted
• Become lean and strong from head to toe
• Easy enough for everyone

What Benefits Can I Expect to See?
Cardio Kickboxing will give you the results you've always wanted, while also learning to defend yourself in any situation. From shoulders to calves, you will become lean and strong. It's a complete body workout that will make you lean and tone while building a positive self-image, increasing your self-confidence and reducing your stress level.

Cardio Kickboxing is for Everyone!
Yes, it's true. Cardio Kickboxing classes are for everyone - from those who want to get in shape to those looking for the ultimate workout. You are encouraged to go at your own pace and lower intensity until your body adapts to a new type of move. You can stop at anytime to take a break or refresh yourself with a drink of water. You will feel very comfortable in class.

What should I wear?
Whatever keeps you comfortable and cool.

  • Sweats

  • Shorts

  • T-Shirt

  • Aerobic Dance outfit
  • Running shoes aren't ideal because they're not constructed for side-to-side movements. A better choice might be high-top cross trainers.
